Natural stone lets us leaf through the exciting sides from the stories book of our earth: Millions of years ago during the evolution of our planet developed, he is found and opened today at immense expenditure in the quarries of the continents. Melts, deposits, petrifying, convolutions, crystallizations: this fossil character is supported by its colored luminosity and radiant emittance. This is not a reason the natural stone by synthetic surfaces to strangers. Their gloss and their edges receive our workpieces by treatment with water and diamond buffing wheels. On some typical nature characteristics we want to refer to in this connection:
- In particular with granites and Gneisen we find the Craquelé so called (a term for fine tears in a layer = cracked, originating from the French), a fine network of hair-cracks and small craters, which becomes in the back light of the raw boards and tiles recognizable and perceptible.
- Cooling off tears (mast leaps) in individual large crystals, or in the surface originate from the time of origin of the rock, caused by the different cooling off times of the different minerals. They can quite be long several centimeters. They did usually grow together crystalline and have no influence on the statics of our products. A really open tear in a plate could not bear the stress with the processing. These ranges are recognized of our stone specialists and left blank of production.
- Particularly the small crater recognizable with granites in the back light of the plate are due of fallen out or washed crystals. The stones are compound from differently hard mineral substances. Therefore the softer portions are particularly extracted or washed during the treatment. These are typical characteristics with natural stone, which we do not want to cover by synthetic balance materials. With certain cut stone filling out is necessary of gaps, columns and small caves before production of the polish. Mostly with breccia of limestone this is “primes” necessarily, in order to almost manufacture one perfect surface.
- Each work and supply in unique. Thus a not reproducible. On the cases of change of nature is to be counted; large deviations between individual workpieces can exist.
