Galaxyblack

Structure: The GALAXYBLACK is a centralgranular, dense and very homogeneous depth rock. The GALAXYBLACK is as gabbro to norit one of the darkest ashlar. It consists of black Pyroxenen (metalliferous silicate minerals) and up to 1 cm large bronzite crystals, which arise partly evenly, partly in clouds and veins frequently. Bronzite is a silicate mineral that, depending upon situation in the area and depending upon lighting, differently strongly broncefarben to gleam can. The sight of a polished surface of this rock reminds of the galaxy of the starlit sky.

Characteristics: After the MOHS hardness scale (1 = chalk, 10 = diamond) the GALAXYBLACK possesses a degree of hardness of 6 - 7. Thus GALAXYBLACK counts to the hard rocks and is to a large extent frost steady.

Emergence:
The GALAXYBLACK developed as cooling product of alkaline, dark, metalliferous, feldspar-rich and quartz-poor magma, which crystallized in the lower earth's crust in plutones slowly. By the long and even cooling over millions of years developed the typical uniform grain structures of GALAXYBLACK.

Age: Approx. 1.8 billion years (Precambrian).

Use: This decorative rock is appropriate for kitchen sill plates, bar covers, tables, desks and in representative floor mats.
